University of Manchester Students Union
The University of Manchester Students' Union (UMSU) is the representative body of students at the University of Manchester, England, and is the UK's largest students' union. It was formed out of the merger between UMIST Students' Association (USA) and University of Manchester Union (UMU) when the parent organisations (UMIST and the Victoria University of Manchester) merged on the 1 October 2004.

If you are looking for an English language summer course, you face a bewildering choice. I know as I used to run a company organising 40 summer schools. When I set up ISC in 1997, I was determined to run the best possible summer school in the best possible location, just one school operating to the highest standards and where I could enjoy being with the students every day.
At Haileybury I found what I was looking for and I believe you will too. In 2000, my husband Martin joined ISC to help me run and improve the school - we now both live on campus during the summer.
Please look at our site to see exactly what we offer. We think you’ll agree that Haileybury is a great place for an excellent summer school. Come and join us this summer – improve your English, make friends for life and have a great time in this very special place.

Here at Manchester.com/student we think University should be the time of your life. Alas, some people don’t think the way we do. It’s a sad fact, but some people don’t want you to have fun at university. Landlords, lecturers, the fickle mistress of coursework. These people seem intent on making your wonder years a struggle, even a trial. There isn’t a course unit on how to survive at University – So this is where we come in.
Having struggled with these burdens, we’ve decided that enough is enough. Like the proverbial A team we’re coming to your aid. We’re the Sean Bean to your Frodo and the Jack Bauer to your Kim. Imparting all we’ve learnt from our time as Manchester students, we’re here to impart our Yoda like wisdom onto the student populace. Know what we’re talking about, we do. Bask in our wisdom and rejoice. We’ll sort you out.
